Nodessa!

Cute anyway!

I just bought something on Knit Picks for the first time! In particular, I bought wool and needles to make a weighted companion cube for Max.

I love knitting for people.

Baby Blanket and Oooodessa.

Baby Blanket Lacy Pattern

This is highly encouraging, as I'm having *the* worst time with the seemingly simple Odessa hat. IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THAT, MAN. It actually looks kind of neat, but not like the pattern. I'm going to keep on the same way to see how it ends, but I might have to frog it later. :P

The pattern for today on the Knitting Pattern-a-Day Calendar is SO CUTE. It's one of those silly jester-esque three pointed hats, for babies. Good thing like everyone I know is pregnant--I'm sure I'll use it soon!

Yarn Over, I will master thee.

Blanket

Oh man. Another friend is having a baby. Amazing! (I doubt she reads this. Stop reading, if you're pregnant and might be getting a blanket from me!)

I started the Rainbow Blanket from Knitting Pattern a Day Calender 2008 (It was on January 7th.) yesterday, and made pretty good progress today on the way to and from NY to see Spamalot (hilarious).

HOWEVER, I didn't realize until two whole pattern repeats in that I was doing the yarn-over stitch incorrectly, and thus really not getting the pattern on the picture.

Now, I'm the lazy/creative type of knitter who refuses to frog what one has spent three hours painstakingly stitching. I prefer to work with my mistakes, instead of taking two steps back and fixing them. Therefore, I will just symmetrically make the same mistake. It will be fiiiiiine.

I'm going to work the yellow in there somehow. I have ideas.

Love,
Jess

Hats Galore!

Seth's Hat

My professors never ceased to be amazed that I could complete a whole beanie during our Plasma Diagnostics class this semester. ;) (YES, I paid attention! YES, I passed!)

Sow with Piglets

The second I saw this pattern in the Knitting Pattern-a-Day Calendar 2008 (Jan 31), I knew I had to make it. I thought about it all day at lab, and started as soon as I got home. After two late-night knitting sessions, my little piggies were completed and are happily sucking away at their mama.

New Blog! :D

I broke in and got another blog, yet another online temptation! But, I wanted one to connect to Ravelry after seeing the blogs of Mollywaffles and Physibeth.

I'll post about projects soon! I just finished the amazingly adorable Sow with Piglets from Jan. 31 of the Knitting Pattern-a-Day Calendar 2008. They are incredible.

Love!
